Close friends of my wife and I (Jackie & Mark Dalton) had their daughter Maya diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis shortly after her birth in 2014.
Cystic Fibrosis is the most common life threatening, recessive genetic condition affecting Australian children. It affects the lungs and digestive system and it means that Maya has a tough road ahead of her.
CF is life limiting and it is terminal, there is no cure. Lung failure is the major cause of death for someone with CF.
Maya deserves to live a long, healthy life filled with joy and happiness - help us find a cure for CF.
I am tackling one of the world’s most difficult single day cycling events in March 2017, through Victoria’s alpine region. I will be fighting to breath for one tough day so that Maya doesn’t have to fight to breathe for the rest of her life.
I am aiming to raise $1,000 for Cystic Fibrosis Victoria - to increase awareness about CF and to help find a cure.
Any donation you can make is very much appreciated.
